Atchison County is not one of the six Missouri jurisdictions (Clay, Greene, Jackson, Platte, St. Louis County, St. Louis City) where the 1940 Missouri Nonpartisan Court Plan reaches the trial bench, so its circuit and associate circuit judges are elected on a partisan ballot. They are state judicial officers, not county officials. The county's circuit clerk is Thyra Beckman; no judge was named on any page opened.

- Atchison County does not appear to run a general county-government website. The only county-operated site found is the county elections office at acmoelections.org, maintained by the county clerk; it names Sheriff Andy Riley and the Atchison County Jail at 511 W. Clay, Rock Port, which is why the 'named' check passes and the rest do not.
- The site at atchisoncounty.org belongs to the Atchison County Development Corporation, not the county government, so nothing on it is scored as county publication. Commercial inmate-lookup sites returned by search were disregarded entirely.
- No roster, capacity, budget, fee schedule, bond guidance, PREA result, inspection report or prisoner-housing contract was found published by the county.
- No Missouri state agency inspects county jails. The Department of Corrections inspects state prisons under RSMo chapter 217; that authority does not reach chapter 221 county jails.
