- The sheriff's office runs its own first-party site, barrycountysheriff.com. Its jail page names the Barry County Jail, gives its address, links the office's inmate roster, and publishes communication rates — $0.35 a minute for voice calls, $0.50 a minute for video calls and $0.50 per text message — which is why the named, roster and fees checks pass.
- Capacity is 'no': no bed count and no daily population figure is published. Bond guidance is 'no': the jail page covers lobby drop-offs and visitation but gives no instructions for posting bail.
- The budget check is 'no'. The county clerk's commission page at barrycoclerk.com lists a Financial Statement, a 2026 Budget Message and Tax Levies, but no corrections or detention figure was read on a page opened, so nothing is scored as a published jail budget.
