- Crawford County is covered by two first-party domains that both opened: the county government site crawfordcountymo.net and the Sheriff's Office site crawfordcountyso.org. A sheriff's office on its own separate domain counts as first-party.
- The Sheriff's Office homepage itself does not name the sheriff — it carries only a "Message From Sheriff" heading. The name Darin Layman comes from the county government's own sheriff page.
- The Sheriff's site links a Jail Division page that would be the natural home for capacity, bond, visitation and fee information. It could not be opened, so none of those checks is credited.
