Notes on the record

The county runs a jail — it publishes a direct jail phone line — but gives it no name, no roster, no bed count and no visiting or commissary information anywhere on the site.
In place of a roster the Sheriff page points the public to the statewide VINE service, which is a victim-notification system, not a public custody list.
Adopted budgets are published back to 2018 and proposed budgets and salary notices back to 2012, which is the county's one passing check.
The county spells the Sheriff "Rick Boone"; the Sheriffs' Association of Texas directory spells him "Richard Boone". The county's own spelling is used.
